AEV (American Expedition Vehicles) Warranty
At a glance: Limited lifetime parts warranty for the original purchaser against material and manufacturing defects; finish defects get one year
This is AEV's warranty, not an NVMOS policy. We've summarized it in plain English to save you a search. The manufacturer's official terms always govern and can change without notice. Last reviewed on nvmos.com: October 27, 2026.
Coverage by product
| Product or component | Coverage |
|---|---|
| AEV accessories: bumpers, tire carriers, DualSport suspension, wheels, skid plates, snorkels, flares, lighting mounts and recovery gear | Limited lifetime |
| Original AEV paint, powder coat or dip finishes | 1 year |
| Wear items: bushings, bump stops, heim joints, beadlock rings | Not covered |
What's covered
- Material and manufacturing defects in AEV accessories
- Original purchaser only, with proof of purchase
- AEV may repair the part, replace it, or reimburse the purchase price, at its discretion
What's not covered
- Second owners
- Labor to diagnose, remove or install parts
- Abuse, misuse, modification, improper installation or poor maintenance
- Vehicles used in racing, competition or commercial activity
- Trail and weather finish damage such as rock chips, scratches, sap, salt and sun
- Incidental costs, damage to non-AEV parts, counterfeit parts, and shipping back to AEV
How to make an AEV warranty claim
- Gather your proof of purchase and photos of the defect
- Contact AEV's warranty department to get a return merchandise authorization (RMA)
- AEV usually asks for the part back for inspection; if a replacement ships first, AEV may charge for it and refund once the defect is confirmed

AEV 33" Tire Clearance Kit for 2017-2022 Colorado ZR2 & ZR2 Bison
AEV's 33" Tire Clearance Kit for the 2017-2022 Colorado ZR2 and ZR2 Bison is a cost effective solution for customers looking to fit a 33" tall tire (285/70R17) under their truck, without the need for a lift or leveling kit! This kit isn't just about providing additional clearance in the front end of your truck either. We developed the AEV Colorado 33" Tire Clearance Kit with the rear end in mind as well. By fully articulating the truck's suspension, we identified and addressed key contact points at all four corners of the truck. Since trimming is necessary to prevent contact under full articulation regardless of lift height, this kit will also benefit customers with a leveling kit already installed and are planning to take their truck off-road.
The AEV Colorado 33" Tire Clearance Kit includes all the necessary front and rear closeout panels, support brackets and trim templates for a clean and professional looking installation.
