About Trail Grid Pro

Cliff John started Trail Grid Pro in 2021 in a kitchen and a home garage, selling plug-and-play audio upgrades for Toyota trucks. It has since grown into a Toyota-only parts business in Frederick, Maryland, and landed at #199 on the 2025 Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing companies.

The specialty is engineered bundles: speaker and amp kits, camera systems and lighting for the 4Runner, Tacoma, Tundra, Sequoia and Land Cruiser, assembled to order around third-party components.

What we carry from Trail Grid Pro

We carry Focal plug-and-play speaker bundles, AudX hidden subwoofers, subwoofer enclosures, amp wiring kits, speaker brackets, under-seat amp brackets, speaker harness adapters and JBL amp bypass harnesses, all in our interior electronics section.

There are also anytime backup and front camera kits, dash-cam adapters and mounts, LED grille lights, ditch light brackets, a 4Runner drawer system and gear plate, and apparel. Fitments cover the 4Runner, Tacoma, 2014–2021 Tundra and 2024+ Land Cruiser.

How to choose

Most audio mistakes start with not knowing which factory system you have.

  • Check for JBL first. On a 4Runner, look for an 8-inch sub in the cargo area. On a Tacoma or Tundra, look for JBL logos on the door speakers or an amp under a front seat.
  • Harnesses and brackets are sold by generation, such as '16–'23 Tacoma versus 2024+, so match your year range.
  • With a Sony or Alpine bundle, make every vehicle connection before you power anything up.

Lead times & shipping

In-stock items ship from NVMOS in 24–48 hours. Trail Grid Pro assembles most of its products to order and posts the lead time on each product page; items without a posted lead time ship from Trail Grid Pro within one business day. Faster shipping does not shorten assembly, and all of these are estimates that change.

Trail Grid Pro warranty

Trail Grid Pro offers a one- or three-year limited warranty on most products, depending on the item, and the original manufacturer's terms apply where specified. Only the defective component is replaced, and cut or modified wiring, improper installation and physical damage like punctured speakers are excluded. Read the full Trail Grid Pro warranty summary.

Trail Grid Pro FAQs

Who is Trail Grid Pro?

Trail Grid Pro is a Toyota-focused parts and bundle company in Frederick, Maryland. Cliff John started it in 2021 with plug-and-play audio upgrades.

What warranty does Trail Grid Pro offer?

Most products carry a one- or three-year limited warranty depending on the item, and manufacturer terms apply where specified. Cut or modified wiring and physical damage are not covered.

Why does my Trail Grid Pro item show a lead time?

Most bundles are assembled after you order, and the lead time on the product page covers that assembly. Faster shipping does not shorten it.

How do I know if my Toyota has JBL?

On a 4Runner, check for an 8-inch subwoofer on the passenger side of the cargo area. On a Tacoma or Tundra, look for JBL badges on the door speakers or an amplifier under a front seat.

Are the audio kits plug-and-play?

Yes. The bundles are built around plug-in harness adapters, so factory wiring is not cut. Make all connections before powering the system on.

Will a '16–'23 Tacoma harness fit a 2024 Tacoma?

No. Harnesses and brackets are sold by generation, so match the part to your truck's year range.
