About Peak Suspension

Peak Suspension describes itself as built by enthusiasts for enthusiasts, and it designs products off real conversations with people who wheel their trucks. Its parts are made in the USA. Peak also does installs and complete vehicle builds, and the Colorado ZR2 and Silverado ZR2 are where its catalog runs deepest.

Peak's shocks are aluminum for corrosion resistance and heat dissipation, come standard with high- and low-speed compression adjustment, and are valved for each vehicle.

What we carry from Peak Suspension

2.5-inch DSC and 2.0 Aluminum Series coilover lift kits, DSSV coilover kits for the Colorado ZR2, billet and tubular upper control arms, billet lower trailing arms, add-a-leaf kits, lift blocks, spacer and collar lifts, diff drops, tie rod sleeves and sway bar brackets.

Fitment covers the Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon, Silverado and Sierra 1500, Toyota Tacoma, 4Runner, Tundra, Sequoia and Land Cruiser, Lexus GX, Ford Bronco, F-150, Raptor and Ranger, Jeep Wrangler JL and Nissan Frontier.

How to choose

  • Just want stance and tire room: a Peak spacer, collar or leveling kit keeps your shocks and adds height for the least money.
  • Want better ride and control too: the 2.0 Aluminum Series is the entry coilover; the 2.5-inch DSC kits add remote reservoirs and separate high- and low-speed adjustment for harder use.
  • Lifting the front much at all: add upper control arms (or pick a Trek or Summit kit) so alignment and droop stay right.
  • Carrying weight in the bed: pick a kit with an add-a-leaf (the plus kits) or add one separately.

Lead times & shipping

Peak ships orders to you directly. Peak works to keep its coilovers in stock, but when a kit is sold out, coilover production runs can take up to 8 weeks, so call us and we'll check current stock with Peak before you order. Peak's advice, which we agree with: don't book an install until the parts arrive and you've checked the boxes. See all brand estimates on our lead times page.

Peak Suspension warranty

Peak covers parts it manufactures with a limited lifetime warranty against defects for the original purchaser, on the original vehicle. Shocks carry one year; springs, bushings and heim joints are wear items. Finish, corrosion, racing, overloading and improper installs are excluded, and shipping and labor on claims are on the owner. Peak Suspension FAQs

What do Peak's Trail, Explorer, Trek and Summit kit names mean?

They are Peak's kit levels. The exact contents change by vehicle, but as you move up from Trail you add rear lift (blocks, springs or an add-a-leaf), then upper control arms, with Summit kits being the most complete. A plus sign usually means an add-a-leaf for extra load. Check the What you get list on each product.

What does DSC mean?

DSC is Dual Speed Compression. Peak's 2.5-inch DSC shocks let you adjust high-speed and low-speed compression separately, so you can tune for big hits and for body control on their own.

What is the Peak Suspension warranty?

Peak gives the original purchaser a limited lifetime warranty against defects on parts it manufactures. Peak shocks carry one year against manufacturer defects, and coil springs, leaf springs, bushings and heim joints are wear items. Finish, corrosion, racing and improper installs are excluded.

Do I need a differential drop when I lift my Colorado or Canyon?

Peak recommends a differential drop for anything over about 2 inches of lift on non-ZR2 trucks, and over about 1.5 inches on ZR2s, to keep CV angles in a healthy range.

Which spring rate should I pick for a ZR2 coilover conversion?

Peak suggests 550 lb springs for a stock-weight gas truck, 600 lb with a full steel bumper and winch, and 650 or 700 lb for diesels in the same two cases.

How long does Peak take to ship coilovers?

Peak works to keep its coilovers in stock. When a kit is sold out, Peak's coilover production runs can take up to 8 weeks. Call us and we will check current stock with Peak before you order, and do not book your install until the parts arrive.
