About Bushwacker

Bushwacker is a fender flare brand first, and it now sits inside RealTruck, which handles its catalog, warranty registration and claims. RealTruck lists the flares and bed rail caps as assembled in Georgia from globally sourced materials.

The flares are molded from Bushwacker's Dura-Flex material, an ABS composite on lines such as the Extend-A-Fender, and come in several styles, including Pocket, Extend-A-Fender and the factory-shaped OE style, in matte black or, on some trucks, painted to a factory color. Trail Armor is the trail-side counterpart: textured black panels that cover rockers, sills, corners, hoods and cowls on Jeeps, Broncos and some pickups. Bed rail caps round out the line. The trade-off with any flare is that a wider look can mean drilling on some applications, so check the install sheet for your truck before you commit.

What we carry from Bushwacker

We carry Bushwacker fender flares in Pocket, Max Pocket, Boss Pocket, Extend-A-Fender, OE, Forge, Flat and Cutout styles, plus marker light kits for Flat style flares. We also list Trail Armor rocker panels, sill plate covers, front and rear corners, hood armor and stone guards, cowl guards and fender delete kits, and Fleetside bed rail caps. Flares and armor are built to a specific model year range, body style and often bed length, and we list them for the Jeep Wrangler YJ, TJ, JK and JL, Jeep Gladiator, Ford Bronco, F-150, Super Duty and Ranger, Chevrolet Silverado and Colorado, GMC Sierra and Ram trucks. Several Wrangler flares are 2-door or 4-door only, and some F-150 and Silverado sets depend on bed length or trim, so read the listing notes before ordering.

How to choose

Pick the look: The style is mostly a looks decision: OE style follows the factory shape, while Pocket, Extend-A-Fender, Forge, Flat and Cutout each change the profile in their own way. Compare the photos on each listing before you choose.

Match body style and trim: Many sets are specific to 2-door or 4-door, bed length, or trims such as ZR2, Tech Package or Lightning. Those exclusions are in the part title for a reason.

Check whether it drills: Bushwacker describes most applications as bolt-on, but some flare applications call for drilling. Open the install sheet for your exact part if drilling is a deal-breaker.

Painted or black: Some matte black flares, such as the Extend-A-Fender, are paintable, and some trucks have flares already finished in a factory color such as Oxford White or Summit White. Painted flares save a trip to the body shop but have to match your paint code.

Protection, not crash armor: Trail Armor is there to guard paint and body panels. Bushwacker excludes damage from on-road and off-road hazards, so it is not a substitute for steel rock sliders.

Lead times & shipping

NVMOS dropships every Bushwacker order from the brand or its distributor. In-stock parts usually leave in 1-3 business days, and parts stocked at the manufacturer take about 1-2 weeks. Trail Armor pieces, marker light kits and most flare sets ship by parcel carrier. Long bed rail caps and some larger flare sets ship by truck freight, which can add a few days and may need someone home to receive them. We send tracking as soon as we have it.

Bushwacker warranty

Bushwacker warrants its products to the original purchaser against defects in materials and workmanship, provided the product was installed according to the instructions, with three tiers: limited lifetime, limited three years and limited one year. RealTruck's listings show the limited lifetime term on Bushwacker fender flares and bed rail caps, and lifetime coverage lasts as long as the original buyer owns the vehicle with the product installed. Bushwacker repairs or replaces a defective product at its option and may substitute a current product of similar function if the original is discontinued. Labor to remove or reinstall is on you, and misuse, abuse, accidents, improper installation, modification, poor maintenance and on-road or off-road hazards are excluded. Coverage ends if the product comes off the original vehicle or the vehicle is sold. Claims go through the place of purchase or RealTruck's online form, with the receipt and photos, and returns need prior authorization. Read our Bushwacker warranty summary.
