Curious whether the Jackery Solar Generator 2000 Plus Kit (4kWh or 6kWh) includes all the essential cables and connectors? Or maybe you’re looking into the 4kWh kit specifically and want to know exactly what’s included—and whether you’ll need to purchase anything extra? This comprehensive Jackery cable guide breaks it all down for you. For even more detail, be sure to review the connector user manual.
In most cases, the Jackery Solar Generator 2000 Plus Kits come with all the essential cables—no additional connectors or accessories are needed unless you choose to expand your setup. If you purchase the Jackery Explorer 2000 Plus and solar panels separately, the panels will include the necessary cables for basic use. However, if you're buying 4 to 6 solar panels individually, you’ll also need to purchase a connector separately to complete the setup.
Short answer: Two Jackery solar panels can plug into two separate DC inputs, or share one input through the Jackery Solar Panel Connector. Use the same panel model and the same number of panels on each input. Jackery power stations generally can't be daisy-chained; the exception is the Explorer 2000 Plus, which links to a second 2000 Plus with the Jackery Connector. Jackery recommends its own SolarSaga panels and says damage from unapproved charging accessories may void the warranty.
Quick answers: connecting Jackery panels and power stations
How do you connect two Jackery solar panels?
You have two options. If your power station has two DC solar inputs, plug one panel into each. If you'd rather use a single input, plug both panels into a Jackery Solar Panel Connector and run that into one DC port. Either way, keep it balanced: when both inputs are in use, Jackery says to run the same type and number of panels on each side. Check your Explorer's manual for its input limits before adding more panels.
Can you link two Jackery power stations together?
Not in the usual sense. Most Explorer models aren't designed to be daisy-chained, and you shouldn't improvise a cable between two stations. There are two Jackery-approved ways to get more out of a setup. The Explorer 2000 Plus takes Jackery expansion battery packs, which is how the 4kWh and 6kWh kits add capacity. And the Jackery Connector links two Explorer 2000 Plus units for 120V/240V output, which Jackery lists at up to about 4,000W combined for 240V appliances.
Can you use other brands of solar panels with a Jackery?
Jackery recommends pairing its power stations with SolarSaga panels, because each pairing is matched for voltage, current, connector and built-in protection. Jackery says only the Explorer 5000 Plus is built to accept third-party rooftop panels, through its high-voltage PV input, and that damage from unapproved charging accessories may void the warranty. If you use another brand anyway, the panel has to fall inside the input limits in your station's manual and needs the right adapter, since MC4 and Anderson plugs don't fit Jackery's DC inputs directly.
Which Jackery adapter do I need?
It depends on the plug on each end. Newer Explorer stations use DC8020 inputs; older 8mm SolarSaga panels use DC7909 plugs and need the DC7909 to DC8020 adapter (current Jackery panels include it). The Explorer 100 Plus, 240 Plus and 300 Plus charge from solar through USB-C, so they need the DC8020 to USB-C adapter. SolarSaga 100 Prime panels use Anderson plugs and Jackery's Anderson connector and cable. Each adapter is covered in detail below.
Do Jackery solar generator kits include the cables?
Yes. A bundled kit, such as the Solar Generator 2000 Plus with two SolarSaga 200W panels, ships with the cables it needs, and bundles with four to six panels include the connector. If you buy four to six panels separately, buy the solar panel connector too.
Do I need to Buy a Cable or Connector with My Order?
Whether you need to purchase an additional cable or connector depends on how you place your order. Below are the key scenarios to consider:
Bundled Solar Generator Kit: If you purchase a complete kit—such as the Jackery Solar Generator 2000 Plus, which includes the Explorer 2000 Plus Portable Power Station and two SolarSaga 200W Solar Panels—it will come with all the necessary cables. No extra cables or connectors are required unless you have unique setup needs.
Purchased Separately: When you buy the Explorer 2000 Plus and Jackery Solar Panels as separate items, the solar panel order will still include the required cables to connect to the power station.
Connector Requirements: If you order a Solar Generator bundle that includes 4 to 6 solar panels, the connector needed to support that setup is included in the box.
Connector Not Included in Panel-Only Orders: However, if you purchase 4 to 6 solar panels on their own (not in a generator bundle), you will need to buy the solar panel connector separately to complete the installation.
Jackery Solar Panel DC Extension Cable
The Jackery DC Extension Cable for Solar Panels is a 16.4-foot power cable designed to extend the connection between your solar panels and portable power station, offering greater flexibility for outdoor use.
This extension cable allows you to position your Jackery Portable Power Station indoors while keeping your SolarSaga Solar Panels outside for optimal sun exposure. It's the perfect solution for off-grid setups, including RVs, campers, and motorhomes, where space and positioning flexibility are essential.

Jackery Solar Panel Connector
If you plan to connect multiple solar panels to your portable power station, you'll need a solar connector. The Jackery Solar Panel Connector lets you combine up to three solar panels into a single DC input on your power station.

Note: Compatible solar panels include the Jackery SolarSaga 60W, 100W, and 200W models. Be sure to confirm compatibility before setting up your system.
2 Solar Panels: A connector is not required. You can either connect each panel directly to separate input ports (if available), or use one connector to combine both panels and plug into a single DC input as shown in the setup diagram.

3 Solar Panels: One solar panel connector is needed. Connect all three panels to the connector, then plug the connector into one DC input port on the power station.

4 Solar Panels: Two solar panel connectors are required. Connect two panels to each connector, then plug each into its own DC input port on the portable power station.

5 Solar Panels: Jackery does not support connecting five solar panels to the power station or through the solar panel connector.

Caution: When using both DC input ports at the same time, always use the same type and number of solar panels on each side to prevent potential damage. For instance, if you're charging with four panels, connect two panels to each input port. Avoid the following connection methods when charging the power station:
