- Coverage applies to new products, for the original purchaser, starting on the date of original purchase. Westin's page lists some lines (HDX bumpers, for example) in more than one tier, and some lines we sell, including tonneau covers and the Outlaw, Pro-Series, Pro-Mod and Grate Steps families, aren't named on it. For those, ask us or Westin before you count on a specific term.
What's covered
- Manufacturing defects in materials, workmanship and finish under normal use, for the term above
- Applies to the original purchaser of a new product, with the purchase receipt
- Westin repairs or replaces the part at its discretion
What's not covered
- Road hazards such as gravel and debris
- Misuse, abuse, neglect, accidents, fire and vandalism
- Improper installation or modification of the product
- Removal and installation labor, freight, and incidental or consequential damages
- Paint or painting, and light bulbs and electrical components where noted
- LED lights with an opened housing or broken seal
- Commercial, industrial or hoisting use of a winch, and winch finish
How to make a Westin warranty claim
- For most Westin products, return the defective part with your purchase receipt to the original place of purchase (that's us, if you bought from NVMOS)
- LED light claims go to Westin customer service directly, with proof of purchase. You pay shipping both ways, and expedited shipping is at your cost
- For a winch claim, remove the winch and send it with freight prepaid and a copy of the original receipt
- On parts-only limited lifetime claims, Westin may charge a freight or handling fee of up to $25
- Clean finishes with non-abrasive automotive wax. Westin notes that abrasive soaps, polishes and waxes can scratch the finish and open it to corrosion
