What's covered
- Manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship that stop the product working as advertised
- Personal, in-home use
- SmarterHome chooses to repair, replace (equal or greater value) or refund the purchase price
What's not covered
- Outdoor use (products are indoor-only)
- Normal wear, abuse, accidents or alterations
- Pet or insect damage, and salt-air exposure
- Improper installation, operation or maintenance
- Color loss, yellowing or cracking of materials
- Shipping, removal and reinstallation costs
- Only the defective unit is replaced, not other matching units in the room
How to make a SmarterHome warranty claim
- Contact SmarterHome Customer Support for authorization first
- Ship the defective item with its original accessories, cords, hardware, batteries and a copy of the receipt, before the warranty ends
- You pay the shipping to SmarterHome
