Painted & Paintable Parts Policy (Ecoological / Chrome Stoppers)

This policy covers painted-to-match and paintable BumperShellz™, Shellz™ overlays and other chrome delete parts made by Ecoological / Chrome Stoppers and sold by NVMOS. Please read it before ordering a painted or paintable option. Questions? Contact the NVMOS team before you buy.

Painted-to-Match Parts

Dry fit first

For any color-to-match product, including painted and acrylic parts, do a dry fit before installing. A dry fit means test-fitting the part without removing the red backing from the tape.

During the dry fit, check that the color matches your truck to your satisfaction. If there is any issue with the color, do not install the part. Contact us right away.

Cancellations and returns

Painted parts are custom made. Once a painted order is placed it cannot be cancelled or returned, so please double-check the color and configuration before ordering.

Lead time

Painted parts are painted to order. The manufacturer currently quotes about 2-3 weeks, and some listings note up to 4-6 weeks. Non-painted parts typically ship in 2-4 business days. See Current Lead Times for the latest.

Color match

Shellz™ are molded with the factory OEM-spec color code acrylic cap, or painted with the "prime" OEM color code. Even so, the color can differ from your truck because of:

• Age of your paint: waxes and protective coatings break down and shift the color within months.
• UV and sun exposure, which changes paint color quickly.
• Differences in metallic mix and color ratios between factory paint runs.
• Material differences: paint looks slightly different on metal panels than on plastic ones.

Because of these factors some variation is expected, and an exact color match to any specific truck cannot be guaranteed.

Installing painted parts

Painted parts ship once the paint has cured for at least 72 hours, but paint keeps curing for up to 30 days. During that time the paint and clear coat are softer and easier to scratch or chip, so take your time during installation.

If you have a fitment issue with a custom painted part, take photos of the issue and contact us promptly.

Paintable Parts

"Paintable" parts are made to be prepped, primed and painted by you before installation. They arrive in raw form and may have minor imperfections, scratches or flaws that are normal for this finish.

How to spot a paintable SKU

Paintable parts have the number 12 in the color portion of the SKU. For example, a paintable 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma rear BumperShellz™ set with no parking sensors is SKU DT1012.

Normal scratches

Scratches that can be removed with 400 grit sandpaper are considered normal. Every part is checked before shipping to make sure there are no deep scratches.

Prep and paint

You are responsible for prepping, priming and painting paintable parts to industry standards before installation. Issues caused by improper prep, priming or painting are not covered.

Returns

Returns and refunds are not accepted for minor imperfections, scratches that 400 grit sandpaper removes, or other minor flaws on paintable parts. If you think your part has more than a minor flaw, contact us and the manufacturer will make a final decision.

Cracked or broken parts affect how the part works, so they are handled under the normal return process.

By purchasing paintable parts you agree to the manufacturer's terms, including its limitation of liability and indemnification terms for these parts.
