RETRAX FAQs
Is RETRAX part of RealTruck?
Yes. RealTruck hosts RETRAX's warranty policy, registration and claims, and RETRAX still has its own phone line for service questions.
Which RETRAX covers have a lifetime warranty?
The RetraxPRO MX and XR have lifetime coverage with no proration. RetraxONE and Powertrax covers have limited lifetime coverage that becomes prorated after one and three years, and the RetraxEQ has five years.
Do I have to register my RETRAX cover?
Yes. RETRAX voids the warranty if the cover is not registered within 30 days of delivery.
Does the RETRAX warranty cover leaks?
No. Water intrusion and any damage it causes are excluded, so do not count on a retractable cover to keep the bed completely dry.
Should I lubricate the rails?
No. Lubricating the rails or the sealed ball bearings voids the warranty. RETRAX asks owners to call before doing maintenance or repairs.
How do I open a RetraxEQ?
With the truck's factory key fob, the RetraxEQ phone app over Bluetooth or an optional cab-mounted keypad.
How much weight can a RETRAX cover hold?
RealTruck rates the RetraxPRO XR and the RetraxEQ at up to 500 lb of evenly distributed weight.
