About Putco

Putco has made pickup and SUV accessories for more than 50 years from Des Moines, Iowa, where it runs a 140,000 square foot building with manufacturing and product design under one roof. The company also builds parts for vehicle manufacturers, and its OE-style logo emblems and lighting reflect that relationship.

The product mix leans toward finishing touches that bolt on cleanly: stainless and black-finish trim, bed rails, grille inserts, LED tailgate bars and emblem lighting, plus a more utilitarian side with Hornet strobe bars, work blades, Venture TEC bed racks and MOLLE storage panels. Most of it is model-specific, cut for one cab and bed combination rather than adapted to fit.

What we carry from Putco

We carry Putco Locker side rails in classic, oval, SSR and black finishes, stainless rocker panel kits and individual replacement pieces, pillar post and other trim, grille inserts, Blade and work-blade LED bars, roof and strobe light bars with mounts, wind deflectors, mud flaps, Venture TEC racks, MOLLE panels and headache racks. Fitment is heaviest on Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra, Ford F-150 and Super Duty, Ram 1500 through 3500 and Toyota Tundra, with a smaller set for Tacoma, Colorado, Canyon, Ranger, Frontier, Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator.

How to choose

Know your cab and bed length: Rocker panels and bed rails are cut for a specific cab style and box length, and Putco lists them that way. Measure the bed or check the build sheet before ordering, because a crew cab short box and a double cab standard box are different parts.

Pick the finish you will maintain: Stainless and aluminum carry a one-year warranty, while Black Platinum powder-coat and painted finishes are covered for only 90 days. Putco also excludes damage from skipping cleaning and waxing, so chrome-look parts reward a little upkeep.

Plan the wiring on lighting: Putco's lighting warranty excludes damage from customer wiring that does not follow its instructions, and it may ask you to troubleshoot with its tech team before approving a swap. Follow the harness instructions and keep notes on any other aftermarket electronics on the truck.

Buy from an authorized seller: Putco cuts implied warranties to 30 days on product bought from unauthorized marketplaces. NVMOS order records serve as proof of purchase if you ever need a claim.

Lead times & shipping

NVMOS dropships Putco. In-stock parts ship in 1-3 business days and parts stocked at the manufacturer take about 1-2 weeks. Most trim, lighting and rails go by parcel; long items like headache racks and some racks may ship by truck freight, which needs someone present to receive and inspect the delivery. Check stainless trim for shipping damage when it arrives, since Putco excludes it.

Putco warranty

Putco's limited warranty covers defects in workmanship and materials on properly installed parts for the original retail buyer, and it does not transfer. Lighting, stainless steel and aluminum accessories and ABS trim are covered for one year from the original sale. NeverRust-finish parts are also covered against structural surface rust for as long as they stay on the original vehicle, while Black Platinum powder-coat and painted finishes get 90 days. Some series carry more, such as three years on MOLLE panels. Putco either replaces the part with one of equal or greater value or refunds the purchase price; labor, removal, shipping and installation are on the buyer. Read our Putco warranty summary.
