Protect the paint around your door cups from fingernails. You might be careful, but there is no guarantee that others will be when entering YOUR vehicle.
Installation
Clean the application area, wash your hands, and if you want get a cup of soapy water (1 drop dishwasher soap + lots of water).
The back side of your item should be labeled top and left/right. Take the appropriate overlay and wet the back side of it. Also keep your fingers wet so that the adhesive does not pull dirt or oil off of them. Apply evenly in the door cup area.
Use your fingers to push out water and air from the center outwards. Repeat for the other side.
