Our Not Your Typical Rock Sliders for the Lexus GX550/Toyota Land Cruiser is high clearance, low profile, and non-tubular.
Crafted with a non-traditional design that forgoes conventional tubular construction, which allows for a 28.5° flat, angled bottom surface optimized for sliding, while the top remains level to provide a practical, 4-inch wide stepping platform for effortless vehicle entry and exit.
They are finished in wrinkled black powder coat, and TIG welded with 3/16-inch and 1/4-inch high-strength steel to ensure durability.
The rock sliders mount directly to the frame, providing protection to the vehicle’s body, while also acting as side steps. On certain GX550 premium or luxury trims, the rock sliders need to be installed with ¼-inch BoxBolts®. Check on both sides of the frame to see if there are threaded nuts welded on the backside of the mounting holes, to determine if self expansion bolts are needed.
All necessary mounting hardware included. ¼-inch BoxBolts® (12 needed) not included, sold separately.
The factory step lamps could be mounted onto the rock sliders with the provided M6 bolts, or mounted higher up under the cab using the OEM side step bolts, shown in the pictures.
Torque down all the M10 bolts to 48 ft-lbs./65 Nm. Torque down the ¼ inch self expansion bolts to 14 ft-lbs./19 Nm.
