H2: Installation Notes & Best Practices

1. Confirm your truck is a 2017–2022 Ford F-250, F-350, or F-450 Super Duty. 
2. Remove the tailgate and install well-nuts (included) to reinforce the factory thread locations.
3. Bolt the tailgate plate into position using the supplied stainless hardware.
4. Reinstall the tailgate. Once the plate is mounted, attach your Milwaukee Packout boxes.
5. Be sure to check for interference from retractable tonneau covers that latch below the bed rail—Retrax, BakFlip, or other covers may affect clearance. 
6. Avoid mounting heavy Packout Tool Boxes (48-22-8424) or larger units to prevent stress on the plate—lighter organizer trays or half-size boxes are a better fit long-term.
