The studs bolt to the shock posts and extend the shocks down, which helps restore the extended and collapsed lengths the shocks were designed to work within on a 2 to 2.5 inch lift.

TeraFlex calls it a must for restoring proper handling on a lifted JK Wrangler or Unlimited. It is a small part, but it matters if you are keeping your stock-length shocks on a mild lift rather than buying longer ones.

Fitment

Fits the Jeep Wrangler JK (2007-2018), two-door and Unlimited. It is intended for factory-length shocks on a 2 to 2.5 inch lift. Important exclusion: these front upper extension studs are not compatible with Falcon Performance Shocks, so if you run or plan to run Falcon shocks, skip this kit.

Install notes

Installation is straightforward: the extension studs bolt to the shock posts and push the shock down.
