The carrier is cast from strong, lightweight A356.2 T6 aluminum and uses heavy-duty forged steel brackets with high-carbon hardened steel 5/8 inch hinge pins. The design is patented (USPTO D6982240). This listing is the carrier only; the adjustable mount is a separate purchase.

Fitment

Made for the 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK. TeraFlex lists it under its JK line, and the vendor data ties it to the JK chassis only, so it is not a fit for the older TJ or the newer JL. The Alpha HD Adjustable Spare Tire Mount Kit is sold separately and is needed to hold the tire. TeraFlex also lists a complete carrier-plus-5x5-mount kit as part 4838150.

Questions before you order?

Fitment questions are easier to settle before the box ships.
