They feature a threaded ball stud retaining ring that replaces the factory's crimp-style design, which is notorious for failure. This ring also allows precise preload adjustment during assembly?"and later, on-vehicle adjustments using basic hand tools?"eliminating the need for costly, labor-intensive rebuilds. Each TeraFlex 60 Axle HD Joint incorporates a massive 32mm heat-treated chromoly ball stud and a hardened tool steel wear plate for maximum durability. Dual helical grease grooves machined into the stud allow spent grease to exit through a low-profile seal, improving longevity and simplifying maintenance. From serious trail abuse to daily driving, these ball joints deliver long life, consistent performance, and easy, on-vehicle adjustability that eliminates the need for rebuilding.Features and Benefits:•Heat-treated 4140 chromoly steel ball studs•Heat-treated 1045 carbon steel housings and threaded retaining rings•Tool steel wear plate resists socket wear under extreme loads•Corrosion-resistant coating reduces friction and increases service life•Factory-style nuts included for precision stud torque and secure installation•Low-profile single-lip dust seal eliminates concerns with torn boots•Heavy-duty snap rings prevent ball joint separation during hard off-road use•Wear and preload adjustability helps eliminate any wear movement•Wear adjustment with simple tools, and the vehicle on the ground•Grease zerks are easily accessible even with axle shafts installed•32mm heat-treated chromoly ball stud

Estimated Labor Time: 2 Hours
