A recovery ring does the same job of redirecting a synthetic winch line or doubling your pulling power, but it's a single machined piece that fits in a pocket. The OVS 2.5 inch ring is made to be rigged with a soft shackle.

It's precision-machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum, with a breaking strength of 35,000 lb (155 kN) and a working load limit of 10,000 lb. OVS rates it stronger than a traditional snatch block. A storage bag with a quick-cinch closure keeps it from getting lost in the recovery bin.
