Each harness lets the aftermarket housing talk to the factory wiring so you can keep every headlight function working, without splicing or soldering. It is a small part, but picking the wrong one is the usual reason an install stalls, so the two versions matter.

The harness is plug and play. Morimoto lists function retention as 100 percent, which means the factory lighting behavior carries over once the XB headlights are connected. This listing is the adapter only; the XB headlight housings are a separate purchase.

Fitment

2021-2024 Toyota 4Runner with OE projector-LED headlights.
