Heavy Duty Steering Box Mount - Jeep CJ 1976-1986

The factory CJ steering box mount is 1/8 inch stamped steel, and that is not much to hold a box in place against 33 inch plus tires and a front locker. A brace helps, but past a certain point it is not enough. This M.O.R.E. heavy duty mount replaces the stock piece and locks the box to the frame properly.

It is made from 3/8 inch and 1/2 inch thick steel and fits the 1976-1986 Jeep CJ-5, CJ-6, CJ-7 and CJ-8. All mounting hardware is included. It works with a M.O.R.E. Shackle Reversal System or a stock setup, so you can install it now and keep it through later suspension changes.

Pick zinc plating for corrosion protection, or no plating if you plan to paint it. M.O.R.E. (Mountain Off-Road Enterprises) has been building Jeep parts in Delta, Colorado since 1978, when Chris Overacker started the company in his home garage. Parts are designed in 3D CAD, laser cut and welded in-house in the USA.

M.O.R.E. backs its parts with the RockProof Lifetime Warranty for the original retail purchaser, for as long as they own the vehicle, against product failure. Rubber, urethane and the finish are treated as wear items and are not covered, and neither is labor or shipping.

Questions on fitment?
