The shackle plates are 3\/8-inch steel. The shackle mount is where this kit differs: you drill through the frame, weld in a steel tube, and press polyurethane bushings into it. The shackles then hang from both sides of the frame rail, which keeps driveshaft and caster angles near stock and leaves room under the rail for obstacles.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eKnow what it does and doesn't do. It adds no lift. With the standard brackets ride height stays put; the Stubby brackets drop the front about 7\/8 inch and add roughly 3-4 degrees of caster. It works with stock or aftermarket lift springs, spring-under or spring-over.
