Rock Proof Rear Bumper with Clevis Mounts - Jeep CJ 1976-1986

M.O.R.E.'s Rock Proof rear bumper for the 1976-1986 Jeep CJ (all models) is formed plate steel with clevis mounts. Like the rest of the Rock Proof line, it is cut from 3/16-inch steel plate on CNC lasers, formed on a CNC press brake, then MIG welded with the seams ground and sanded.

It protects the rear end and adds a receiver hitch, so it does double duty as armor and a towing point. Clevis mounts give you a place to hook a strap when someone needs a pull. It ships by UPS rather than freight.

Take it bare steel and paint it to match, or order it powder coated in Pure Black, Flame Red, Tactical Gray or Desert Sand. Bare is cheaper and leaves the coating up to you; powder coat arrives finished, but finish is a wear item and not covered by the warranty. M.O.R.E. designs and builds its bumpers in-house in Delta, Colorado.

Every bumper is built to order, and M.O.R.E. quotes 6–8 weeks. Formed plate has real heft, so have a helper on hand, torque the hardware to spec and check it again after a trail run.

Questions on fitment?
