The two main plates are about 3-1\/2 feet long, starting at the rear body mount outrigger and running up over the rear axle to the crossmember. Two smaller lower plates reinforce the frame around the rear shackle hangers. Everything is contour-cut to the frame and comes with holes already punched.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThese are for 1976-1986 CJ5, CJ6, CJ7 and CJ8 frames. On a CJ8 Scrambler they fit, but the long plates stop short of the rear crossmember. They do not fit 1972-1975 CJs.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eLike the front plates, these are weld-on. Grind the frame clean, clamp the plates tight and weld in short sections to limit warping. Expect to pull the rear of the Jeep apart enough to get good access around the axle and hangers.
