Aluminum Gas Tank Skid Plate - Jeep Wrangler JL Unlimited 4 Door 2018+

From the factory, the gas tank on a four-door JL sits behind a thin stamped skid that M.O.R.E. measures at .074 in. This aluminum gas tank skid plate from Mountain Off-Road Enterprises replaces that sheet-metal cover with proper plate, and it does it at roughly 31 lb, so you add protection without hanging a lot of extra weight under the back half of the Jeep.

It fits 2018-current Jeep Wrangler JL Unlimited (4 door) models with the 3.6L, 2.0L or 6.4L engine. It does not fit the 3.0L diesel, so confirm your engine before ordering. Run it on its own, or pair it with M.O.R.E.'s JL oil pan/transmission skid and transfer case skid to cover the whole belly.

Aluminum plate is the pick when weight matters, and the trade-off is that it costs more than plain steel armor. Finish options are bare aluminum or powder coat in Pure Black, Flame Red, Desert Sand or Tactical Gray; screen colors can differ a bit from the real thing.

Lead time: M.O.R.E. builds its aluminum skid plates to order. They quote up to 10 business days for bare aluminum and up to 15 business days for any powder-coated color. Every plate is designed and made in-house in Delta, Colorado.

Questions on fitment?
