It is hard to find a built-out Sprinter without one. This Explorer version comes out of years of development and testing, and the vendor positions it as the lightest, strongest rear carrier available for these vans.

Those claims come from the maker rather than an independent test, but the premise is sound: one rack handles roof access and spare-tire carry, which saves adding two separate pieces of hardware to the back door. Weight matters on a van, so a lighter carrier gives you more payload for everything else you bring.

Fitment

Built for the Sprinter from 2019 on (the VS30 platform) and sold in two versions, one for the 2500 and one for the 3500. Pick your Sprinter model when ordering. The vendor also lists compatibility with several camper conversions: Jayco Terrain and Entegra Launch, Revel (18-20, 21-24 and 25) and Storyteller Overland Mode.

What's included

The vendor description does not list the contents of the box, so ask us if you need a parts breakdown before buying.

Install notes

No installation details are published in the source.
